Orangeburg Co. holds hearing on ending blue laws

ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - Orangeburg County leaders are deciding whether to end blue laws or keep them.

The county council held a pubic forum Thursday night to hear neighbors thoughts on eliminating blue laws.

"We need a shot in the arm, we really do," said Letty Rodriguez. "It's time for something to be done, we can't continue with this high unemployment rate."

Orangeburg County Council has not taken any vote on changing blue laws. The next council meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 2.
