Hanahan (WCSC) - James Island and Wando have played each other twice already this season. They'll have a third chance on Friday when they meet in the finals of the Hanahan Invitational Tournament after both teams won their semifinal game on Thursday night.
The Trojans found themselves down early to Westfield (VA) but a 3 run HR from Ryan Stone in the 2nd put James Island up for good as they went on for a 14-4 win over the Bulldogs. James Island moves to 22-2 on the season. 2 of those victories coming against Wando.
The Warriors found themselves down 5-1 to Beaufort in their semifinal. But Wando came back to score 8 straight runs, including their 4th Grand Slam in the last 2 games in getting a 9-6 win over the Eagles.
Wando and James Island will meet for the tournament title at 7:30pm at Hanahan High.
