LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is looking for a robbery suspect who shot at a customer multiple times in Ladson Tuesday night.

Authorities are looking for James Rickie Cobb Jr. wanted for three counts of attempted murder and armed robbery.

Authorities say it all started at the Li'l Cricket on 10305 US 78 when two men, Cobb and 22-year-old Brandon Jenkins, came into the store and took money from the cash registers. According to investigators, as the men were robbing the store, two customers entered the store, saw the robbery taking place and left the store.

The sheriff's office says that Cobb then went outside to the customers' car and shot several rounds into the vehicle and struck the driver.

The victim said he then began to follow the suspects as they fled the scene in a Buick. At one point, Cobb fired at the victim's vehicle as they were being chased, a police report states.

According to investigators, as the suspects fled from their car at Lincolnville road, Cobb then fired a third time at the victim.

Jenkins then confronted the victim and asked him why he was following them, authorities say. The victim told police that Jenkins then got back into the Buick and drove off. The victim said he then began to follow the suspects' car again, this time striking Jenkins' car in an attempt to stop him.

The victim said he followed the vehicle until police got behind Jenkins' vehicle and arrested him. The victim then returned to the Li'l Cricket where he was treated by EMS for contusions and a laceration.

Cobb is also wanted for one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and once count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
