Police looking for man accused of strangling girlfriend

Police are on the lookout for a 23-year-old man accused of assaulting his girlfriend in Horry County.

The Horry County Police Department is looking for Andrew Pritt of Aynor wanted for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

Officers responded to a home on Fairfax Road in reference to a domestic disturbance on April 19. When authorities arrived they found a female with severe bruising and blood coming from her mouth.

The victim said that her boyfriend had assaulted her after he came home drunk. According to the victim, Pritt punched her several times in the face, strangled her and kicked her.

Investigators say that Pritt fled the scene before officers arrived.
