Man arrested for burglary, car break-ins

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police arrested a man Friday who was wanted on several counts of breaking into cars and burglary.

Dean Antonio Rambert, 34, of 1166 King Street, was arrested and charged with five counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, two counts of property crime enhancement and second degree burglary.

The car break-ins and property crime enhancements occurred on April 3 within the 600 block of Rutledge Avenue, police say. A purse and cash were taken from the vehicles.

The burglary occurred between April 22 and April 24 on Maple Street. Police say someone forced open the bathroom window, entered the residence and stole a laptop computer and a television.
