NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities have released a 911 recording of a 41-year-old man asking for a canine unit to help him after not getting the correct change in a drug deal.

In the Friday morning audio recording, Dexter White tells the 911 dispatcher that a drug dealer did not give him the correct amount of narcotics during a purchase Thursday night.

White then gave his location and a description of what he looks like so officers would be able to locate him. When officers arrived, White told them that he had given $60 to a drug dealer for crack and only got back $20 worth of drugs. White said the drug dealer refused to give him $40 back.

According to a police report, White then walked away from the drug dealer, smoked the crack he purchased and then called 911.

The North Charleston Police Department arrested Dexter White for disorderly conduct.
