After a few Friday clouds and showers, Mother's Day weekend should be clear and sunny.
Clouds have been slowly working in from the west Friday morning and they will continue to thicken as the morning rolls along. Temperatures are cool again in the mid 50's to low 60's, but will steadily warm back into the upper 60's by the lunch hour.
Expect showers to develop along the Savannah River counties late Friday morning and spread northeast up the coast into the afternoon. Highs Friday will reach the mid 70's.
Friday night, showers will move offshore and temperatures will fall back through the mid 60's. Overnight, the weather will clear out and lows will fall back into the mid 50's.
Saturday will start a bit cool and there could be some patchy fog in areas that get rain Friday. Plenty of sun returns on Saturday and Sunday, which will make it a great weekend for all your Mother's Day celebrations.
