EUTAWVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The man shot and killed in front of the Eutawville Town Hall will be laid to rest Friday morning.
On Monday, 54-year-old Bernard Bailey died after being shot three times.
The State Law Enforcement Division is still investigating Eutawville Police Chief Richard Combs for his involvement in the shooting. Authorities say Combs shot and killed Bailey, but it is still unclear why the shooting took place.
The Eutawville Mayor placed Combs on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Bailey's funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Eutawville. Bailey leaves behind a wife, five children and grandchildren.
