Duo nabbed for downtown sub shop armed robbery

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department have arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery at a sub shop in downtown.

Police have charged 22-year-old Leslie Burton Green Jr. with armed robbery. According to investigators, Green was an employee of the business at the time of the armed robbery.

Investigators also charged 25-year-old Christopher D. Campbell with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of violent crime.

Authorities say the robbery happened at the Firehouse Subs restaurant around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday within the 300 block of King Street. An armed gunman entered the business and demanded money from an employee.
