CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A woman is completing a cross-country run from California by reaching the South Carolina coast.
Zoe Romano of Portland, Maine, started the trek in January and finishes on Saturday. She's running to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
She will be joined by local runners for the last leg of her journey from Charleston to nearby Sullivans Island. Romano is what is called an ultra-runner and has averaged about 35 miles a day.
She's hoping to raise $25,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide.
