CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Downtown Charleston parking is about to get a little easier. You can now drop your car off at one of four locations for valet parking.
To take advantage, go to Radcliffe and John Streets, both at the northwest corner of King Street; Broad Street on the southwest corner of East Bay Street; or the Concord / Cumberland lot off Cone Street.
Parking meters at all four locations are marked with signs that say they are designated as valet parking drop off points.
"We'll be able to take cars that would otherwise be parked in metered spaces, put those cars in the deck. That's going to free up other spaces, said Brock Pittman of Royal Parking.
"We all have Royal Parking uniforms. We're gonna have a podium out here that says parking valet. We're gonna have an umbrella that says valet on it," said Scott Blalock of Royal Parking.
The service is open to the public from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. seven days a week. It will cost between $8 and $10 dollars to have your car valet parked.
