Deputies uncover Orangeburg Co. meth lab

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Orangeburg County sheriff's deputies uncovered a meth lab Monday and have charged a Bamberg County man with manufacturing methamphetamines.

According to Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, officers of the special operations team found components of a meth lab Monday in a mobile home and a wooded area behind 640 Comos Road in Neeses.

A magistrate set a $25,000 surety bond for 23-year-old Brad Thomas Allen after he was charged with manufacturing methamphetamines.

Investigators say Allen had set up the lab capable of manufacturing several ounces of meth at once.

The investigation is ongoing.
