Shooters sought for firing multiple times at SUV

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police are on the lookout for the people responsible for shooting at an SUV multiple times in West Ashley Tuesday night.

The Charleston Police Department were called out to the area of Sycamore and Paula Drive in reference to shots being fired in the area.

A 21-year-old man said that he and a friend had just left his home on Shelley Road in a Chevy Suburban.

The victim said that as he was turning left onto Sycamore and Paula Drive, unknown suspects in a white or gray colored Jeep Cherokee shot at him multiple times.

Police say a bullet hole was found in the front windshield and the back left window of the SUV. According to investigators, the back window was shattered and the back right tire was flat.

Authorities are continuing the investigation.
