No prison time for former teacher accused of soliciting student

A former school teacher and coach accused of soliciting a student for sex won't serve prison time.

Charles Fishburne Rhodes III, who pleaded guilty to unlawful conduct, was sentenced to two years of probation and 30 days of community service.

Rhodes did say that he did send a text message to a 12-year-old old girl asking for sex.

According to the solicitor's office, prosecutors decided to strike a plea deal with Rhodes since the girl in the case did not want to testify. Rhodes was originally arrested on a charge of criminal solicitation.

Rhodes taught at First Baptist Church School.
