Pregnant woman, boyfriend robbed at gunpoint in own car

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown Police Department is looking for a male suspect who allegedly robbed a pregnant woman and her boyfriend in their own car Saturday night.

Police say the woman was waiting outside of the Wal-Mart on North Frasier Street when the suspect jumped into the backseat and held a gun to her head.

The female victim told police that when her husband got back into the car, the suspect forced them at gun point to drive him about three blocks to a near-by Food Lion. According to police, the suspect hit the woman in the head with his gun a few times.

Once they arrived he jumped out and ran towards the housing behind the grocery store. The suspect is around 25 and was wearing all black and a purple bandana over his face.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
