SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Restoring pay raises and decreasing class sizes in Dorchester District 2 are both up for a vote Monday night.
Dorchester County Council will consider approving the district's spending plan, which now has an extra $5 million to work with next school year.
The money comes from changes the state made to the per-student funding formula and an increase of 400 students in the district.
The district also plans to sell several properties.
It wants to restore 2-percent raises since employees have not received a pay increase in two years.
Dorchester County Council meets at 5 p.m. Monday at council chambers in Summerville.
