Bank robbery suspect still running in N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A man police say robbed a North Charleston bank Wednesday afternoon is still on the loose.

North Charleston police are on the lookout for a man they say robbed the First Federal Bank located in the 7800 block of Rivers Avenue around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

According to investigators, a man entered the bank and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The man then took money and left the bank.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his early 40's, 5'8", thin build and wearing a khaki baseball cap, blue polo style shirt with stripes and wearing jeans.

Investigators released several surveillance photos of the suspect. A helicopter was used to conduct an aerial search for the suspect, but he was not located.
