CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police arrested seven men Wednesday and confiscated guns, drugs and money from numerous apartments. The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation by the Charleston Police Department to combat narcotic activity in the downtown Charleston area.
In response to investigations involving the distribution of heroin, cocaine and marijuana, the Charleston Police Department's Special Investigations Unit served eight search warrants Wednesday at eight apartments in Bridge View Apartments located at 100 North Romney Street.
Police seized four handguns and a shotgun. One of the handguns was reported stolen along with the shotgun, which had its serial number removed. Police also confiscated $10,049 in cash and 40 morphine pills with a street value of $1,200; 39 grams of cocaine base with a street value of $3,900; 110.8 grams of cocaine with a street value of $11,100 and 152 grams of marijuana with a street value of $1,900.

The investigation, which was executed with the assistance of the DEA, SLED, ATF, and FBI, is ongoing.
