Bond set at $1 million for suspect in deadly James Island gun battle

Bond was set at $1 million for a 26-year-old man suspected in a run and gun battle on James Island that left one man dead.

Domoneik Washington was back in Charleston County after U.S. Marshals arrested him after he bought some beer in Virginia.

He was denied bond on murder charges.

Authorities say it started with a fight at a cafe on James Island in March. It escalated into a shooting at the Kangaroo Gas station on Folly and Camp roads. The incident ended in a car crash on folly road.
