CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Since the beginning of May, many armed and dangerous suspects have been on the run in connection with several Lowcountry crimes.

Several shootings have happened and only a few arrests have been made. In Russellville, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is still looking for leads in an unsolved murder.

Chad Williams, 23, was shot and killed on May 11 on Gladiola Way. Deputies say next to Williams was a few hundred dollars and a bag full of drugs. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Later that same day, the hunt began for an armed and dangerous suspect who got away from Moncks Corner Police after a routine traffic stop. Dean Lampkin Jr., 24, is still on the run. The search for Lampkin led to a Moncks Corner apartment that SWAT surrounded.

Lampkin got away and police found a number of guns and a bulletproof vest while searching for him at his girlfriend's apartment. Lampkin's rap sheet dates back to 2004 and includes several violent crimes.

There were also three bank robberies in one week and all the suspects are still on the run. On May 18, the First Federal on Rivers Avenue was robbed and then on May 20 the First Federal bank on St. James Avenue in Goose Creek was robbed.

According to a police report, a K-9 tracked the Goose Creek suspect to an apartment building, but the apartment turned out to be empty.

There was also a bank robbery downtown at the First Reliance on Cumberland Street last Monday morning.

Police are still looking to see if any of the bank robberies are connected. If you have any information you are asked to call police.
