The Memorial Day Weekend is just hours away and a lot of folks have plans to be out on the boat, the beach or to just relax and enjoy a long weekend. The holiday weekend weather has some slight changes for afternoon showers, but overall looks fantastic.
Some wet weather that the area really needs is in store for Friday as temperatures start the morning mild in the mid 70's. The mild temperatures are setting us up for another warm and muggy afternoon.
Winds Friday are out of the southeast around 10-15 mph and will keep it breezy on the beaches. Highs Friday will only make it to the mid 80's thanks to more clouds around by afternoon. Some of those storms will be producing showers and storms thanks to the sea breeze and a front approaching from the west.
Friday's rain chances will cap rain chances around 40 percent inland and only a sparse 20 percent chance along the coastal counties. A few storms inland that do pop up could be strong or severe with gusty winds and large hail. Friday evening any storms will fade away and we go back partly cloudy overnight with lows back into the mid 60's.
Saturday and Sunday both look sunny with a mix of sun and clouds. There is a 20 percent chance of storms Saturday afternoon along the sea breeze during the afternoon, but most areas will stay rain free. Highs both days stay in the upper 80's with a south breeze.
Monday looks great as well with plenty of sunshine and highs above average and no rain.
