MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – North Myrtle Beach roadways previously blocked due to an accident involving a motorcycle Friday afternoon have reopened.
According to a Nixle Alert sent by the City of North Myrtle Beach around 1 p.m., motorists were urged to avoid the area of 14th Avenue South and Hillside Drive as units worked the accident.
NMB Public Safety Director Jay Fernandez said a vehicle pulled out in front of a motorcycle, resulting in the motorcycle striking the front of the car.
Fernandez said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital to be check out. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday, officials reported traffic along both 14th Avenue South and Hillside Drive to be moving smoothly once more.
