NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The court case for a former North Charleston police officer accused of vandalizing a T-mobile store has been put on hold because his attorney wants to gather more information.
Police say the fired cop, 38-year-old James Wagner, threw a chair through the T-mobile store on Highway 61 last February because employees wouldn't fix his phone.
Wagner, who was not in Charleston Municipal Court on Tuesday, reportedly told officers he had been drinking at a nearby pub before the incident.
North Charleston Police Chief Jon Zumalt fired Wagner a few days later. Wagner is facing charges of damage to real property and public disorderly conduct.
