A Goose Creek man accused of smuggling millions of dollars of marijuana into South Carolina will have to wait a little longer to go on trial again.
Rashad Muhammad is a former entertainment promoter who turned himself in to authorities in 2008. Police say he helped bring $2.2 million worth of drugs to South Carolina from Arizona.
According to investigators, authorities found the drugs after a high speed chase. On Tuesday, a judge granted a continuance in Muhammad's drug case until a related case involving his two brothers is resolved.
The defense says the two could be witnesses in Muhammad's case, but can't testify until their case is dealt with.
All three were being tried together on drug charges, but a judge declared a mistrial because of a mistake made by the prosecutor before the trial.
