SC woman arrested after infant positive for pot

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - A Rock Hill woman has been charged with illegal conduct toward a child after her newborn son tested positive for marijuana.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported that police say 22-year-old Amber Nicole Matthews had a baby May 22 at Piedmont Medical Center. Both Matthews and her son tested positive for marijuana.

The York County Department of Social Services contacted sheriff's deputies two days later.

It wasn't clear if Matthews has a lawyer.
