COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Colleton County that killed one woman late Sunday night.
According to state troopers, the accident happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 95 near mile marker 63.
Investigators say a 2005 Toyota pick-up truck traveling northbound rear-ended a 1994 Dodge van from Pompano Beach, Fla. Authorities say the passenger in the truck was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed.
The Colleton County Coroner's Office identifed the victim as 69-year-old Paula Rummage. She was the wife of the driver.
The driver of the van and all seven passengers were taken to the hospital. There is no word on their conditions.
