COTTAGEVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A large group of people are expected to show up Monday night at a meeting in Cottageville demanding answers on the deadly shooting investigation of a former mayor.
The attorney for the family of Bert Reeves has asked that a discussion of the investigation be put on the agenda for the town's meeting.
Investigators remain tight lipped and no details of the shooting have been released. The town council is set to meet at 7:30 p.m., but a rally is expected to be held outside beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Reeves, 40, was shot and killed May 16 after an altercation with police officer Randall Price. Price has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
