Police: Search warrant leads to drug dealer's arrest, stolen handgun

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities arrested a 27-year-old man accused of dealing drugs and having a stolen handgun.

Police charged Joseph Todd Rowland with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a stolen handgun.

The Special Investigations Unit of the Charleston Police Department executed a search warrant on Friday at a home on Woodleaf Court that led to the confiscation of drugs, cash and a stolen handgun.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police confiscated 54 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of marijuana, a stolen handgun and $1,614.

Rowland was also charged with unlawful possession of a handgun during the commission of a violent crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Rowland was locked up at the Charleston County Detention Center.
