Florida wildfire smoke drifting into South Carolina

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The National Weather Service is reporting that smoke from a wildfire in Northeast Florida has been drifting into the Atlantic Ocean then spreading back onshore across parts of Southeast South Carolina due to the easterly winds that are in place Monday afternoon.

The smoke has been reducing visibilities to as low as two to three miles at times. The smoke could linger across the area into Monday night.
