MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - A Moncks Corner family is thanking their neighbor and local authorities after what could've been a close call with a baby alligator Tuesday afternoon.
Kristin Snider said she was told by her neighbor that a baby gator had dashed across the street and crawled under her car on Dyson Drive.
Authorities were called out to the scene and got a hold of the gator.
"I thank them so much because we have two small children, a 3-year-old girl and 1-year-old son," Snider says."We could have easily went outside and the alligator could have struck at us getting into the car or just walking out side for afternoon fun."
No injuries were reported.
