NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A former Charleston Southern University student-athlete accused of robbing and kidnapping a classmate in 2008 has pleaded guilty to strong armed robbery.
On Wednesday, Ronald Baldner was given three years probation as punishment and all other charges against him were dismissed.
Three other CSU students Tyrone Lattimore, Zachery Hillery and Sam Baptiste were also charged in the crime.
Police say in November 2008 the men robbed and kidnapped two people at gunpoint, sending the CSU campus into lockdown.
Earlier this month, Baptiste pleaded guilty to strong armed robbery. Lattimore was a running back on CSU's football team at the time and the other three were former football players.
