$100,000 in jewelry stolen from downtown couple's home

DOWNTOWN (WCSC) - Police are investigating a robbery at a couple's downtown home where more than $100,000 of jewelry was stolen.

Police responded to the home on Harleston Place on Monday.

The victim, an 89-year-old man, said that his wife's jewelry box, which she kept in a dresser drawer in their bedroom, has been missing since June 4.

Among the items in the jewelry box were four very valuable items; a platinum diamond bracelet, a necklace, a pair of earrings and a broach.

Those four items were by a local jeweler to be worth just over $100,000.

Police are looking for suspects and the investigation is currently ongoing.
