Sports Minute: Here is the latest Georgia sports news from The Associated Press

PHOENIX (AP) - J.D. Martinez hit his first home run as an Arizona Diamondback and Zack Greinke fired eight strong innings, leading Arizona to a 10-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Hoping to bolster their rotation for a playoff run, the Minnesota Twins have acquired veteran left-handed pitcher Jaime García, catcher Anthony Recker and cash considerations from the Atlanta Braves for minor league right-handed pitcher Huascar Ynoa. The 31-year-old García is 66-52 with a 3.65 ERA and 808 strikeouts in 176 appearances, mostly with St. Louis.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Sun Belt Conference commissioner Karl Benson says the league looks forward to losing two football members after this season and settling into a 10-team structure that he sees as more sustainable. This football season will be the Sun Belt's last with New Mexico State and Idaho, after which the league will have 10 football teams in two divisions. The commissioner says that makes sense for scheduling and travel and that the Sun Belt has no interest in renewed expansion.

(AP) - Qualifier Tommy Paul rallied from a set down to defeat seventh-seeded Hyeon Chung 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the opening round of the Atlanta Open. The win is the second on the ATP Tour for the 20-year-old Paul, an American ranked 291st in the world, and it came at the expense of Chung - a South Korean who entered the tournament ranked 53rd in the world.
