3 adults, 2 kids displaced after fire

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - A family of five is getting help from the Red Cross this morning after a fire destroyed their home just a few hours ago.

The fire started around 3 a.m. on Iona Avenue, just off Stanhope and Howe Hall Roads.

Firefighters say when they arrived flames were coming from a shed and the roof.

They also say two downed power lines slowed down firefighting efforts.

Three adults and two children were home at the time, but no one was hurt.

The siding of two neighboring homes was also damaged.
