COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Investigators in South Carolina say they have made an arrest in the death of a U.S. Marshals Service employee killed during a robbery 15 years ago at a Louisiana hotel.

Authorities said 36-year-old Haywood Devonne Bolton III was found Friday in Spartanburg County.

Investigators say Bolton killed Hiram "Bill" Morrical as he checked into a Bossier City, La., hotel with his wife in October 1996. Morrical was an information technology employee with the U.S. Marshals.

Marshals say several different cold case investigators have looked at Morrical's death, but a group found information this past week which led them to two accomplices that identified Bolton as the killer.

Bolton is being held at the Spartanburg County jail awaiting an extradition hearing. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney.
