Good Friday All!

Here's your noon update!

Bummer! More clouds than sun out there today!  There's a storm system in the deep south and the clouds associated with this storm are climbing up the Eastern Seaboard and coming right into CT.  That's preventing the sun from shining and the temps are rather chilly. I've moved the temps down today.  Right now we're lucky to get to 50 degrees inland and in the mid to upper 40s for the shoreline.

Yes, temperatures will remain on the cool side of normal through this afternoon.  High pressure centered over the Canadian Maritimes will keep Southern New England in a cool ocean flow.  Highs today will range from the 40s along the Southeast Coast to right around 50 degrees over interior portions of the state.  Unfortunately the clouds are with this today.

The Easter weekend is still looking good!  A dry northwesterly breeze will take over tomorrow and that will take the cold ocean waters out of the equation across the entire state.  Temperatures will reach 60 degrees, if not a little higher, Saturday afternoon under partly to mostly sunny skies.  Easter Sunday will be even milder with highs in the low to mid 60s.  High pressure will also provide a good supply of sunshine and winds will be lighter.  Overall, Easter will be quite pleasant with sunrise occurring at 6:03 (Windsor Locks)!

Temperatures will continue to rise early next week.  In fact, we will likely enjoy highs close to 70 degrees on Monday.  Tuesday will be breezy and mild with highs in the 60s to possibly near 70 degrees.  A cold front will probably bring a round of showers and perhaps even a few thunderstorms by late in the day.  The rest of next week looks mainly dry with temperatures fluctuating from cool to mild.

Enjoy the Easter Weekend!
