NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a girl died after being found in a pool at a North Charleston home last weekend.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office says that 21-month-old Nora Flores died Saturday afternoon after drowning in a pool.
Emergency crews responded to a home on Rockingham Street for a drowning. Family members say they were looking for the child when they found her in the pool.
Charleston County EMS took the unconscious and unresponsive child to MUSC where she was pronounced dead.
The Department of Social Services responded to the scene. Workers prepared a safety plan for the parents, who have three other children.
Authorities say no charges will be filed.
