SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - In the past few months, several teens have escaped from the Palmetto Behavioral Health facility in Summerville.
Now, the state health department wants to find out what happened and how to prevent future escapes.
On June 5, two teens ran away from the center. Four other teens escaped less than two months ago.
Palmetto officials say they plan to install a 12-foot chain link fence designed to prevent climbing and are in the process of installing additional security cameras.
