Man charged with passing counterfeit checks, identity theft

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 46-year-old Charleston man has been charged with passing counterfeit business checks, identity theft and aggravated identity theft.

James Edward Seymore was charged in an indictment with eight counts of passing counterfeit business checks, one count of identity theft in violation and one count of aggravated identity theft.

The case was investigated by agents of the United States Secret Service and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dean H. Secor of the Charleston Office.
