Man wanted for attempted murder at apartment complex

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Beaufort County Sheriff's Office investigators are searching for a Hilton Head Island man wanted for an attempted murder Monday night.

Oskar Jadeszko, 24, is wanted for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in connection with the stabbing of 31-year old Shaun Olechnowicz.

At 10:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies responded to The Dunes on 6 Woodward Ave. in reference to a reported assault victim. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Olechnowicz who was suffering from a stab wound to the neck.

Olechnowicz said that he and Jadeszko had gotten into an argument earlier that evening at the Tiki Hut.

According to investigators, the argument continued when the two men returned to the apartment of another friend. As the altercation escalated, the Jadeszko reportedly pulled a knife, slashing Olechnowicz in the neck. Witnesses hearing the argument called 911.

Olechnowicz was transported to Savannah for emergency medical treatment of a life-threatening neck injury. His current condition remains undisclosed, however, he is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Oskar Jadeszko to contact either Investigator Sgt. L. Albertin at 843-255-3413 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777. Jadeszko is a white male, approximately 6'00", 150 lbs with short blond hair and blue eyes. Jadeszko is considered homeless, and should be regarded as potentially armed and dangerous.
