ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A man wanted in connection to a fatal domestic-related shooting in Holly Hill is now behind bars and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Deputies say 45-year-old Carvin Holman was arrested without incident Saturday night.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a written press release, "A friend of Holman's contacted the Sheriff's Office to have his property checked out before he entered his home. Holman was located in a vehicle on those grounds between 6 and 7 miles from the scene of Friday's shooting. Holman is currently being interviewed."

Holman is expected to face a number of charges including murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He also faces kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct charges in connection with a woman at the scene of the crime. He is expected in court around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The shooting happened in the 700 block of Boyer Road around 1 p.m. Friday. After the incident, bloodhounds and a helicopter were deployed to located Holman, who was considered armed and dangerous.

"We appreciate the exhaustive efforts of Holly Hill Police Department, SC Highway Patrol, SLED and DNR," Ravenell said.
