Duo nabbed for attempted murder during burglary

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - Orangeburg County sheriff's deputies say they have arrested two men accused of beating two people during a burglary in Orangeburg on Sunday.

Authorities arrested Sean Echols and Richard Sprinkle Tuesday evening.

The two are accused of assaulting the two victims in a Myers Road residence. The sheriff's office say the two men allegedly robbed the victims of their wallets and stole one of the victim's vehicles.

Deputies say the men were armed with a gun and knife and caused multiple injuries to the victims after beating one with a pistol and cutting the other. One victim suffered several deep cuts to the head and face from being beaten with the gun. The second victim was cut with a knife on his chest, feet and arm area.

The suspects are each charged with two counts of attempted murder and armed robbery
