Rain helps firefighters with 23-acre Mount Pleasant brush fire

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - State forestry officials say Wednesday's rain helped battle a 23-acre brush fire burning off of Palmetto Ford Road in Mount Pleasant.

Authorities say the fire started because of power lines in the area.

According to fire officials, the fire is nearly contained and the rain helped to put the fire out.
