The man police say was arrested for stealing about 100 pounds of copper from a North Charleston business faced a judge on Thursday and remains behind bars.

38-year-old Shawn Justin Burris was given a $10,000 bond. Burris was arrested at a recycling center after police say he broke into Leatherwood Manufacturing and stole copper from five air conditioners.
