Smoke possible in Lowcountry Tuesday

The State Department is warning that there could be smoke in the Lowcountry on Tuesday.

The smoke is coming from the wildfires that are burning in Georgia's Okfenokee National Wildlife REfuge.

DEHC recommends that people with respiratory problems stay indoors, and run an air conditioner while inside. People should also try and keep windows and doors closed to avoid the smoke.

Orangeburg, Berkeley, Dorchester, Charleston, Hampton, Colleton, Jasper and Beaufort counties could be affected.
