CROSS, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Rescue Squad rescued three fishermen after their boat that struck an object on the Diversion Canal in Cross late Monday night.
According to Berkeley County authorities, 911 Dispatcher received a call around 10 p.m. from a fisherman who said his boat had struck an object and he lost control and ran into the bank.
The fisherman said that three people were in the boat and two were hurt. The driver of the boat hit the windshield and had head trauma.
The Berkeley County Rescue Squad was able to locate and rescue the fisherman. They were transported back to the boat landing. Berkeley County EMS transported two fishermen to a local hospital.
The accident is under investigation by the Department of Natural Resources.
