NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Traffic on Interstate 526 was back to normal Thursday after a three-car accident near the Rivers Avenue exit grounded traffic to a halt Wednesday afternoon.
North Charleston police say that one motorist trapped in Wednesday's accident, but no other information has been provided.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Authorities had closed westbound lanes and rerouted traffic onto Rivers Avenue because of the wreck, causing major traffic issues during the rush-hour commute.
No word yet on the conditions of the people involved.
