Firefighters respond to grease fire at Church's Chicken

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A grease fire caused some damage to the Church's Chicken in downtown Charleston on Thursday morning.

Charleston firefighters responded to the fast food restaurant located at 492 meeting Street around 10:30 a.m. in reference to a grease fire. The fire started in the kitchen and created smoke.

The restaurant did suffer some water damage, but no one was injured.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is believed to be a grease fire.
