Citadel grad wins Beaufort City Council Seat

George O'Kelley is the likely winner of Tuesday's special election in Beaufort. He will fill the seat left by Gary Fordham who passed away. Fordham held the seat for 12 years.

O'Kelley graduated from the Citadel in 1965, has a law degree from USC, and went to the Naval Justice School.

He has served on City Council in the past, and also served as a Beaufort Municipal Judge.

O'Kelley beat Ron Petit and Larry Holman.

The results are still unofficial.
