Cops investigate armed robbery at North Charleston ATM

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are investigating an armed robbery at an ATM on Rivers Avenue.

The robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday at the Navy Federal Credit Union. Police say a man was trying to make a deposit when the suspect came up to him with a gun and demanded his ATM card PIN number.

The victim ran off, but dropped his ATM card and deposit envelope. The suspect then grabbed the items and ran.

The victim was not hurt in the robbery. Police do not have a description of the suspect at this time.
